Architect / Project Architect

Keiro Architects is looking for an Architect / Project Architect to join our studio in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Malta.

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable person to support the studio across a range of architecture and interior design projects, from planning and technical development through to schedules, coordination and site-related follow-up.

The role is suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working within a small, design-led studio where architecture and interiors are developed as one integrated process.

The role

The selected candidate will assist the studio in the development, coordination and delivery of projects across different stages.

Responsibilities will include:

  • preparing and coordinating planning drawings, technical drawings and project documentation;

  • assisting in the development of architectural and interior design packages;

  • preparing schedules of works, specifications and BoQ-related documentation;

  • coordinating information with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors;

  • assisting with site-related follow-up, construction detailing and project coordination;

  • supporting the studio in maintaining clear, accurate and well-structured project information;

  • contributing to 3D studies, internal visualisations and client presentation material where required.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should have:

  • a recognised qualification in architecture or a related field;

  • a minimum of 3 years’ practical experience, preferably within a local architectural practice;

  • strong technical drawing skills and a good understanding of construction detailing;

  • experience in planning documentation, technical packages and site coordination;

  • the ability to prepare and coordinate schedules, specifications and BoQ-related documents;

  • good communication skills and the ability to liaise clearly with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors;

  • strong written and spoken English;

  • good spoken Maltese, particularly for site and contractor coordination;

  • a valid driving licence and own means of transport;

  • the ability to work independently while remaining aligned with the studio’s direction and standards.

Additional experience

The following will be considered an asset:

  • warranted or warrant-track status;

  • experience in interior design documentation, finishes schedules and joinery coordination;

  • experience with 3D modelling and visualisation software such as SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray or similar;

  • Revit or BIM experience;

  • good knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and scheduling tools;

  • experience in coordinating finishes schedules, specifications, technical information and procurement-related documentation;

  • familiarity with AI-assisted tools for research, workflow efficiency, presentations or visual development;

  • knowledge of Italian.
